Andrew Turner

Bought up in sailing family, Andrew was always destined to be involved in the yachting industry. Fueling his desire to learn the craft of sailing making was the need to know what makes yachts go fast. So at the tender age of 15, Andrew started with a small Brisbane sailmaker and learned the art of sail making.

Since then, Andrew has worked in Australia and New Zealand, making sails, managing lofts and producing sails that can be seen on some of the most impressive yachts. Leisure time during all these years has been mostly spent on the water racing, cruising or delivering yachts ranging from an New Zealand built 65 foot racing cruiser, Contenders, 12 foot skiffs, Tornados, performance trailer sailors and cruising catamarans.

Disillusioned with the quality of work produced by sail making "factories", Andrew went into business for himself in 2003. Currently working from a small loft and attending to the needs of the Brisbane sailing scene, Andrew is applying 12 years of learning, understanding and application of best practise to the needs of a select clientele.

If you like personal attention from highly experienced craftsman, then Andrew should be looking after your sailmaking needs.
