FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Manly, Brisbane, 17 January 2006 - "Pronto", a Burgess 8.8 "Pod" catamaran finished second on handicap in the 2006 Surf to City Yacht Race. Racing in an 18 strong fleet of Queensland's premier multi-hulls and doing the inshore course, Pronto finished 5th over the line in the multihulls and passed all but one of the mono fleet. Its placing in the lead peloton ensured a high placing in the handicap results.

pronto_reaching_300wOwner of Pronto, John Nayler was very pleased with the outcome. "While Pronto is over 10 years old and very new to me, its design was way ahead of its time and makes for a very light, very fast vessel. Coupled with its new Utimate Sails, its not only turning heads, its winning races," says Nayler.

On board for the race was Andrew Turner, principal of Ultimate Sails. "Pronto is a great platform for application of the latest sail technology. Its a quick boat and we tuned the cut of the new sails for the speed that this vessel develops.
I was very pleased to see the new cloth at work and to contribute to the podium finish"
